Ashley Seshul is a lifelong North Carolinian, born in Lenoir, NC and raised in Burke County. She graduated from North Carolina State University, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University. Her work as a Speech-Language Pathologist includes helping North Carolinians in a variety of settings: hospitals, critical care as well as home health. Her patient list covers numerous ages and areas of expertise that span childhood development (early intervention) through adults suffering speech challenges after a stroke.
Ashley’s family inspired her toward political action following the events and critical decisions of 2020 that personally impacted students and families throughout Wake County. She’s been a tireless participant at School Board and County Commissioner meetings. In addition, she forged constructive relationships with legislators from both parties interested in discovering common ground to best help Wake County residents.
Her priorities include:

Improve academic performance and curriculum in our classrooms.
Safeguard our freedom of speech and constructive debate.
Ensure health privacy and our freedom in medical decision-making.
Prioritize community safety without extreme sacrifice in personal freedom.
As candidate in the 34th District of the North Carolina House of Representatives, Ashley is excited to bring the voice of fellow Wake County residents to the floor of the NC General Assembly to effectively advocate on citizens’ behalf with care and compassion.

E.C. Sykes is a man of strong faith, a husband, father, and a business leader. E.C. is a successful servant-leader with fresh ideas who will guide improvements to state government through a conservative business lens. As a compassionate Christian, he will take a defining stand for family, life, and freedom. With 300 years of his family thriving in North Carolina, our values run deep in E.C.’s blood. He’ll restore these core values: individualism, family, equality, freedom, and the opportunity to prosper through hard work.

E.C. recognizes that principled leadership and business experience is lacking in all levels of government and is asking to serve you and your children by using experiences to set NC future.  In 2015, he volunteered full-time for Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign, was quickly moved into the role as of Executive Director of Faith and Religious Liberty, and recognized as the campaign’s MVP.  In 2020 election cycle, E.C. ran for North Carolina’s Secretary of State, winning a three-way primary and was narrowly defeated by the longest-serving democrat. He was endorsed by Dr. James Dobson, Susan B. Anthony, NC Values, NC Sheriffs, … He raised the awareness of the importance of the office, raised multiples more than any prior candidate, and came closer to defeating the 24-year incumbent than any prior candidate.

E.C. is recognized as a principled, conservative, business leader who will fight to preserve NC’s traditional values.  He wants you and your children to have the opportunity to prosper, practice your faith, and enjoy the freedoms our state was founded on.
